About This Video
This quatrain by Omar Khayyam says: “He who rides through the desert of causes and deeds Without him, all things are already done. Today, they make excuses for what they do, But tomorrow will reveal it was all as he had planned.” In these lines, Khayyam turns his gaze toward fate and destiny. He speaks of a mysterious power, the one “who rides through the desert of causes”, meaning the divine force or cosmic order that moves all things. He tells us that everything is already arranged by this unseen hand. We may think we act freely, but in truth, all unfolds as it must. Our “excuses” and “choices” today are part of a greater pattern that only becomes clear in time. Khayyam’s message is both humbling and liberating: We are part of a vast design we cannot fully understand. Instead of fighting the flow of life, perhaps wisdom lies in acceptance, to move with the current, not against it.
